Complementary and Alternative Medicine: Fair, Balanced, and to the Point
  • About this web log

This blog ran from 2006 to 2016 and was intended as an objective and dispassionate source of information on the latest CAM research. Since my background is in pharmacy and allopathic medicine, I view all CAM as advancing through the development pipeline to eventually become integrated into mainstream medical practice. Some will succeed while others fail. But all are treated fairly here.

  • Common sense considerations

The material on this weblog is for informational purposes. It is not medical advice or counsel. Be smart, consult your health professional before using CAM.

    Transcendental Meditation and ADHD

A 10-minute segment on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) will appear in late May on the PBS program, To The Contrary.

The news release says, “The segment is quite inspiring.” PBS interviewed students at American University and the Kingsbury School who have ADHD and who are practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique.

I don’t know anything more about the program. Go here for information on when the program will be shown in your area.

While you’re there note the picture of Bonnie Erbe, the host. Doesn’t she looks like the life of the party?

PBS is so predictable. Bonnie…Don’t take yourself so seriously. It’s just television.
