Let’s focus on proactive actions to stay healthy.

  • Practice good hygiene — thoroughly wash your hands during the day.
  • Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • If you have flu or flu-like illness, stay home for at least 24 hours after you no longer have a fever (100° F or 38° Celsius or greater) or signs of a fever without taking a fever-reducing medication.
  • Get plenty of sleep, eat healthy, and exercise.
  • Talk with your doctor if you have a compromised immune system.
  • Discuss with your doctor about whether you should receive the H1N1 vaccine
