Ganging up on homeopathy in the UK

Here is an update to an earlier post where many scientists and advocates of evidence-based medicine claimed that giving homeopathy scientific status in the UK is unjustified.

An article in The Guardian reports an intensified effort to stop homeopathic treatment from being funded by the NHS (National Health Service) in the UK.

Lots of letters are being mailed and nasty things being said.

The bottom line?
Reportedly, the Queen “takes 60 vials of homeopathic remedies with her when she goes abroad in case she falls ill.” And Prince Charles supports homeopathy.

I’m not sure if this helps or hurts the cause.

Perhaps a more important question is how does she get all those drugs past the guards at airline security?
