Since my background is in pharmacy and allopathic medicine, I view all CAM as advancing through the development pipeline to eventually become integrated into mainstream medical practice.     Feldenkrais to improve balance in the elderly

    Feldenkrais movement therapy was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais (photo). It’s designed to isolate separate muscles and muscle groups in order to promote flexibility, release tension, and enhance balance.

    Researchers from the national Ageing Research Institute, in Victoria, Australia studied the effect of the Awareness Through Movement lessons on balance and function in older people. (more…)
