The winner in CAM for 2007

Omega-3 fatty acids, of course

There’s so much good stuff it’s hard to know where to start.

Here’s a list of positive study results from this year.

Type 1 diabetes
Type 2 diabetes
Colon cancer here and here
Baby’s health here and here when pregnant mums take omega-3
Systemic lupus erythematosus
Autism
Depression here and here
Suicide and self-harm
Crohn’s disease
Alzheimer’s disease
Phenylketonuria
High blood pressure
Heart disease in diabetics
Joint pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and dysmenorrhea

The bottom line?
Much of this is preliminary research and nobody should consider taking omega-3 fatty acids as a primary treatment for any of them.

But the number of positive research being published using essentially cod live oil is impressive. Let’s look forward to further advances.

I came across your post The C.A.M. Report ” Blog Archive ” The winner in CAM for 2007 today, Saturday while searching for arthritis magnets while I don’t agree with everything it was refreshing to find something relevant about arthritis magnets.
